Another successful Kentucky Derby goes down in the books---although I can't say I had much luck winning any money!!! It looks like I better stick to Vegas for all of my gambling;) This year Ben and I attended a Derby Party at Denise, Mrs. Kentucky 2007's, house. It was also hosted by two other terrific formers- Elisha, Julie, and of course the husbands! They had a live band, tons of food, lots of wonderful company, and much talk of the big race! Some of our best friends, Jessica and Philip, were able to come with us too! I must say after attending this and the Queen's Club Christmas Party, The "Yates Inn" never fails to impress!

I had a BLAST tonight at the "Derby Eve Wine Festival." One of my wonderful sponsors, Springhill Winery, invited to me to come for a meet and greet--and a tasting of course;) Eddie, the owner was so kind and welcoming to me. I was able to speak on stage and had many photo opportunities with the crowd. I think I need a round two of this event;)
My beautiful mother was my date for the night while my
Mr. Kentucky was away on a business trip.
I ran into the owners of the Holiday Inn where we
stay during the Mrs. Kentucky pageant.
My parents sell their blackberries to this winery so
I was thrilled to try the final product. It was DELICIOUS!
With the owners of Springhill Winery, one of my Mrs. Kentucky
sponsors. They invited me to this fun event and gifted me with a bottle
of white wine to take home!! They are too sweet:)

I am stuck in the airport in North Carolina--SO I figured I might as well blog! Ben and I are trying to get back home after having four wonderful days in Las Vegas. Ben was picked, along with 30 other top managers from the Buckle, to attend the "Make it Happen" meetings that occur annually in Las Vegas. I am SO proud of him!! Of course, I was super excited too because I was able to tag along:) He had to attend a few meetings while there, but we still had plenty of time for fun. I truly enjoyed meeting many different Buckle professionals from all over the US. What a great company to be involved in! Being surrounded by people who have such a strong passion for their job is extremely inspiring.

Our "Make it Happen" Gift Package we arrived to in our room!
Dinner at Del Fresco's- it was DELICIOUS and the company
was wonderful!
Some of us "Buckle Spouses" decided to have a girl's

SO much fun to get to know!
I wish shopping was always this beautiful...

This week I was invited to speak to a group of wonderful young ladies who attend Radcliff Elementary. They get together for "Girl Power" to discuss important topics throughout the school year. Miss Jodie (who is amazing I should add) is WONDERFUL with these ladies. She is a great inspiration and her love for them truly shines through. During my time there I was able to discuss topics like bullying, healthcare, goals, dreams, self esteem, and anything else they wanted to ask me. I was even asked to sing- so I had a small impromptu performance for them! I truly had a blast with these young ladies. They are my new "Little Miss Kentucky Sisters." I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet each and every one of them.
My beautiful mother is the attendance clerk at Radcliff Elementary.
It was great getting to spend time with her during her work day:)
Such a sweetie!
What a kind hearted young lady!

I am officially half way through my Dale Carnegie Communications course. In taking the course I have met many wonderful people and professionals from our area. At the beginning of this week's class I received the CUTEST care package from a VERY sweet fan....all homemade- I am SO impressed. Lipgloss, a Fleur De Li Bird Feeder, and Bath Milk! This care package was made by one of my fellow classmate's daughter, Anna. What a talented young lady. Thanks Anna!! I will put all of these gifts to good use. My lipgloss is already in my purse ready for my daily lip application obsession:) Young ladies like Anna truly make being Mrs. Kentucky an amazing thing!
